Alder Health Services is seeking a CRNP to join our team of compassionate professionals as a primary care provider at our office in Harrisburg, PA. Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Location: Harrisburg
Department: Primary Care Direct Report: The CRNP will report to the Clinic Supervisor for administrative matters and to their supervising physician for clinical matters.
Status: Opportunities available for full-time or part-time
Hours: Clinic hours are typically 8:30 – 5:00 Mon-Thu, 8:30 – 1:00 Fri; schedule to be established upon hire, based on provider availability and patient needs. Flexible schedules available. No weekends.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
• Provide patient-centered, culturally informed, primary care services.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
• Prescribe and monitor appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, in the community and within the agency, to make referrals and ensure continuity of care.
• Demonstrate, or be willing to learn, knowledge and understanding of healthcare needs and culturally appropriate treatments for individuals living with HIV and members of LGBTQ+ communities.
• Oversee medical requirements of STI testing and treatment.
• Assist in continuing adherence to Family Planning program, which may include administrative duties in addition to direct patient care.
• Maintain proper licensure and board certification.
• Utilize clinical supervision by collaborating physician as needed and work within the scope of practice for license.
• Attend monthly health center meetings.
• Participate in on-call rotation (phone only)
• Serve as an advocate for the needs of individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQ+ community.
• Support the agency by attending outside events, as requested by Alder’s President/CEO.
